Just north of Kathmandu, the Langtang Valley offers a rewarding Himalayan experience without travelling far from the capital. Located within Langtang National Park, Nepal’s first Himalayan national park, the region is known for mountain scenery, peaceful villages and rich Tamang culture. After the devastating 2015 earthquake and landslides, local Tamang communities worked hard to rebuild their homes and welcoming mountain settlements.
